We're looking for information regarding the ancestors of Samuel Newton Braswell, the father-in-law of William Oscar Garrison. Samuel N. Braswell was a well-known Texas Senator, Judge, and Attorney in the late 1800's. If a death certificate could be located for him, it may have the names of his parents listed. He was born in Newton County, Georgia, so perhaps he is listed on a church birth record. So far, none of the biographies found for him have named his parents.
