Notes: Opened May 5, 1942 as Waco Army Air Field; it was the headquarters Army Air Force Central Instructor's School during World War II. Deactivated in 1945, but reactivated as James T. Connally Air Force Base in 1948. Closed in 1968 as an air force base and conveyed to the State of Texas. Now known as Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Waco Airport.
