Gilbert Lee Henry, 78, of Riverview Road in Irvine, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at his home following a long illness. He was born March 31, 1933, in Estill County and was the son of the late Charlie and Lula Rawlins Henry. He was a retired employee of the Congleton and Hacker Construction Company and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Wiseman Henry; and a brother, Glen Henry. Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Murphy and husband, Paul of Madison County; a son, Gary Henry and wife, Fonda, also of Madison County; three brothers, Richard Henry, Pete Henry, and Kenneth Henry, all of Estill County; three grandchildren, Paula Devers, Kristie Larison and Anthony Henry; five great-grandchildren, Morgan Larison, Madaline Larison, Hannah Devers, Seth Devers and Madison Henry. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Glennis Sizemore. Burial was at the White Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers were Anthony Henry, Richard Henry, John Henry, Charles Henry, Seth Devers and Walter Larison.
