William A. (Bill) Rainbolt died in San Antonio, Tx., on November 16, 2004. He was born in Kingsville, Tx., on October 18, 1925, to H.E. and Ola Pullen Rainbolt who were life-long residents of Kingsville. He graduated from H. M. King High School and Texas A&I in Kingsville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was awarded the Silver Star and one Oak Leaf Cluster for gallantry in service against an enemy during wartime. He was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He owned and operated Bill Rainbolt & Co. Real Estate and Insurance in Kingsville, and was later employed by State Board of Insurance in Austin until his retirement in 1990. He was affiliated with the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce where he served as treasurer, was a United Fund director, served as president of Texas A&I Alumni Association, served as secretary of Navy League of Kingsville, was a trustee at Christ Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church, both in Kingsville, was a member of Kingsville Rotary Club, chairman of Kleberg County Cancer Crusade, was a member of Masonic Lodge in Kingsville, Texas Association of Realtors, and Kappa Sigma fraternity. He was an Eagle Scout and served on the Board of Review Examiners for Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Austin, Tx. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.E. and Ola Pullen Rainbolt and his twin sister, Betty Rainbolt Jackson. Survivors include his sons, Terrell and wife, Carol Rainbolt of Sugar Land, Tx., and Gerald and wife, Becky Rainbolt of Coppell, Tx.; grandchildren, John Rainbolt of Austin, Amy Rainbolt of San Marcos, and Michael Rainbolt of Coppell;, his brother, H.E. (Gene) Rainbolt and wife, Harlene of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville. Burial will follow in Chamberlain Cemetery, Kingsville, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Tx.
